Project Overview

A prominent national restaurant chain was experiencing significant growth with an increasing number of new store openings annually. To facilitate this expansion, we developed a centralized system, streamlined workflow, and advanced staffing resource allocation to ensure each store was adequately staffed and operational by the grand opening.


Combining recruitment, hiring, and training operations for new store launches, along with multi-store collaboration, posed significant challenges. They lacked crucial insight into the entire hiring and recruiting pipeline, staffing schedules for new and neighboring stores, and resources of availability and deadlines.


  • Designed and built a Logistics and People Operations management system in Airtable¬†
  • Built an advanced resource allocation tool to adequately ensure restaurants were fully staffed based on multiple data points, such as staff hired, PTO days, regions, and more
  • Integrated with Workday Human Resources software to sync staff schedules in Airtable
  • Created custom Airtable Interfaces showcasing synced Schedules, Employees, and Store Recruiting Timelines


  • Achieved centralized management and automated processes of logistics, recruiting, and training teams for new store openings nationwide
  • Scalability to accommodate the company's expected growth as they expand their restaurant portfolio
